Tearing of Ceramic Green Sheet During Protective Film Removal
A PET film is removed from a ceramic green sheet that is several micrometers thick. The ceramic green sheet and PET film stick fast together due to electrostatic charge. When the film is removed, sometimes the sheet tears or part of the film remains on the sheet.
Ceramic green sheet: ceramic sheet before sintering which is flexible like a sheet of paper
Conventional countermeasures
Conventional static eliminator
- The effect is uncertain.
- Maintenance requires a lot of work and managing daily performance is difficult.
Countermeasures with static eliminators (ionizers)
The effect can be visualized. The air sheath structure ensures stable static electricity elimination for a long period, resulting in improved yield rates.

Reduced down time
(Loss during down time $3,000 + labor for cause analysis $2,000)/month x 12 months = $60,000/year
