Continuous Measurement of Chain Elongation
- CASE
- Automotive Body Assembly
Age causes conveyor chains to wear and elongate. This can cause the chain to disengage and drop parts. A sensor can measure this elongation before it causes any issues.
Connect to IoT
A graph of the thickness of the chain measured and recorded continuously shows signs of aging.
By setting a threshold for the measured value on which to base judgment, you can replace the chain at the optimum timing, while minimizing downtime and replacement costs.
