Workers visually inspected the lifting of rubber after press fitting. False detections by workers and differences in worker proficiency caused problems because the inspection times were too varied. To solve this, we installed the LJ-V Series to take advantage of automatic inspections.
KEYENCE
Thank you for using KEYENCE products. The LJ-V Series uses a line laser to perform sectional inspections, so we cooperated with a jig manufacturer to also propose a rotation mechanism. The fast sampling rate enables inspections that take a short amount of time.
We have conventionally used laser displacement sensors made by company B. These laser displacement sensors had the problems of a slow sampling time and unstable measured values when the sensor head was moved. When we tested the LJ-V Series, it eliminated the above problems, so we switched to the LJ-V Series.
KEYENCE
Thank you for using KEYENCE products. Two of them characteristics of the LJ-V Series are its sampling speed, which is the fastest in the world, and its stability during measurements. The LJ-V Series is the first 2D laser displacement sensor in the world to use a blue laser, which enables measurements that were previously impossible to perform.
We were scanning with 1D laser displacement sensors and measuring steps in order to perform terminal height inspections. Because this method required that we stop the target during measurements, it was impossible to improve the inspection cycle time. By using the LJ-V Series, we were able to measure steps without needing to move the sensor head from side to side when scanning, which led to major improvements to the inspection cycle time.
KEYENCE
Thank you for using KEYENCE products. A 2D laser displacement sensor that uses a line laser is extremely effective when measuring two steps in an inline manner. The advanced position correction function also enables highly precise measurements even if the target shifts out of position or is tilted.
