HSE
This section explains high-speed Ethernet (HSE).
Overview
HSE is a FOUNDATION Fieldbus, a high-speed Ethernet field bus that connects link masters, communicating using the H1 protocol, to each other.
Wiring Method and Communication Protocol
Wiring method
HSE is connected using general-purpose Ethernet. Up to 31 link masters can be connected and communicate at transmission speeds fast enough to support 100 Mbps Ethernet.
Communication protocol
HSE can be connected to duplicate LANs, allowing for the construction of highly secure networks.
Characteristics
HSE can transmit H1 bus services via Ethernet. It provides high redundancy, supporting duplicate LANs and devices.
