Sampling Length
Arithmetic mean deviation and other roughness parameters are determined based on the extracted part of a given length from the profile. This extracted length is called the sampling length. The sample lengths of the roughness profile and waviness profile are equivalent to their respective cutoff values (λc for the roughness profile and λf for the waviness profile). The sampling length of the primary profile is equivalent to the profile's evaluation length. |
